Patience

I am patient.

Reading that statement, which voice in your head speaks up?

My inner critic reminds me that I am not patient. My monkey says Patience is a virtue. My inner child says she’s hungry.

I thank them for their input and watch them walk away. I practice patience. I do not accept the label of impatience.

Does your inner critic remind you that you are impatient?

Do you accept her assessment?

Where does impatience take you? Is it the gateway to anger, frustration or dissatisfaction?

Can you see your impatience as you rush from one moment to the next? Are you in a hurry to get to the next phase, the next chapter, the next moment? Why? Do you believe that the next one will be better than this one?

Recognize impatience. Ask why you are in a hurry? Is this moment worthy of your attention?

Patience gives peace to the agitated mind. Patience is self-care.

Patience allows you to be open and accepting of the moment.

Can you appreciate every moment – the moments filled with excitement and stimulation and the ones that seem mundane and dull?

Check your experience of time. Does time pass too quickly? Or does it move too slowly?

Patience is a sense of calm about the passage of time.

Patience improves your resiliency and allows you to feel more connected with others. Patience goes hand-in-hand with empathy and compassion.

Practice Patience. Recognize that all things are difficult before they become easy? Be patient.

Remember that all things unfold in their own time. Be patient

Do not rush to get to something better; Patience knows that this moment is as fulfilling as the next.

Allow patience to connect you to the present. Don’t look back with worry or forward with anxiety.

Release the need to fill every moment with activity, with thinking, or with judgment. Be patient. Slow down. Connect with your calm inner core, your faith and courage.

Be patient and exercise kindness and compassion for yourself during unsettling situations.

Demonstrate patience by being kind and compassionate for others.

With Patience, find the energy to heal and to transform what is.

With Patience, be calm under pressure.

Go inside and find your Patience.

See it clearly – see it as a force to be reckoned with

Think about who you are.

An eternal being living somewhere in the middle of your eternity.

What is another minute, hour, or day compared to eternity?

Go inside. See Patience. Be Patience.

Breathe.

Be mindful.

Be still and know.
